HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Due to Thunderstorms in the forcast Saturday, the iRock Jazz Fest has been moved inside to the Park Theater. for Saturday, September 10.
The iRock Jazz fest will feature over 30 musicians showcasing styles from the big band era, traditional straight-ahead jazz, chamber music and The Great American Songbook.
Executive Director of the Holland Visitors Bureau Sally Laukitis says the festival used to be held in New Buffalo. “They contacted our office and said they wanted to bring it to Holland, Michigan. Ticket prices are very reasonable and there will be food trucks and wineries and breweries will be represented.”
The festival has partnered with Hope College too with the Jazz Organ Summit at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The festival will feature Lake Effect Jazz Big Band, Shana Tucker, Mimi Jones Band and more.
It all kicks off at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 10. Tickets are available online or at the Park Theater.. $15 for a day pass. $10 21 years and older. $5 ages 13-20 and kids 12 and under are free.
