ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – Some beautiful music will be heard at the Zeeland High Auditorium this evening.
The Holland Chorale has invited more than 250 students from six area high schools to participate in “Adventures in Harmony,” a day-long singing workshop that concludes with a 7:30 PM concert. According to Sarah Cox, director of vocal music at Holland High School and a member of the Chorale, this event shows to the participating students just how rewarding “singing in the choir” can be.
“I really encourage them that singing and being involved in chorale music is a lifelong activity,” Cox said on “WHTC Morning News” today. “It’s something that they can do all the way into their 80’s. That’s something that’s really unique to music and to singing, that it’s something that you can do your whole life.”
The Chorale conducted a similar event for young men last year. Admission to tonight’s Adventures in Harmony concert is free to the public.
