HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The city of Holland has won another major award.
Fodor’s Travel has come out with the top 25 Underrated Midwestern Towns to Visit this Fall.
Saugatuck made the list as well as Traverse City. Holland led the list says Sally Laukitis Executive Director of the Holland Visitors Bureau. ” I see it as a great boom for tourism for Holland because it’s lke a hidden treasure that maybe people haven’t heard about. We love things like that and it’s such a beautiful time of year to visit Holland. We’ll try to track this and see if people pick up on it.”
The City of Holland is also entered in the American in Bloom competition for the sixth straight year that is going on right now October 6-8 in California. The America in Bloom competition unites the community, promotes civic pride and involvement, and provides a positive image for the community to aid in it’s economic development and tourism efforts.
In 2015, Holland’s entry received the top award in the Circle of Champions Mid-Sized Cities category and received a 5-out-of-5-bloom rating, winning the top award in its population category during the first four years.
