HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Living Sustainably Along the Lakeshore offers a series of free educational events which aim to educate and empower Holland area residents to live more sustainably.
The next event is Tuesday, October 11, and the topic is “Is Sustainability On the Ballot in November?” Guest speakers include Sean Hammond, Deputy Policy Director at Michigan Environmental Council, Courtney Bourgin, State Budget Education Organizer at Sierra Club and the Principal at 5 Lakes Energy, Liesl Clark.
Holland City Manager Ryan Cotton says topics discussed include water quality, recycling, healthy eating and more. There are several sustainability projects in the City of Holland
The event will be held at the Herrick District Library located at 300 South River Avenue from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
