HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The title of a community meeting in Holland’s Herrick District Library tonight says it all.
“Is Sustainability on the Ballot in November?” is a 90-minute session that brings together speakers from the Michigan Environmental Council, the Sierra Club and 5 Lakes Energy to discuss what organizers say are “statewide recycling goals and solid waste management, how the state budget impacts the community, human health and the environment, and the future of Michigan’s energy policy.” It’s part of a series of free educational events offered by the joint city of Holland-Hope College sustainability committee that “aim to educate and empower Holland area residents to live more sustainably.”
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 PM.
