HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Early detection is key is fighting breast cancer and Holland Hospital has a fund to help women in Ottawa County who cannot afford the necessary tests.
Holland Hospital’s Breast Health Fund helps cover the cost of mammograms, diagnostic imaging and pathology services for patients with little or no insurance. The fund is funded by private donations and grants.
Black River High School is hosting their annual PowderTuff Volleyball Tournament to benefit the hospital’s Breast Health Fund as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The tournament is between the Girls Varsity VB team and a team of junior and senior boys. It takes place Friday, October 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Black River High School located at 491 Columbia in Holland.
