Leona Grotenhuis

Leona was born on January, 31st 1928 in Holland, MI to Louis and Catherine Vander Veen. After spending many years working at Gentex, she retired at the age of 73. Leona was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always loved helping her family and putting them first.

Leona is survived by: her children, Mikki (John) Currens, and Marla (Robert) Bos; grandchildren, Vergeane Voss and Jennifer Panicci; great-grandchildren, Jacob Panicci, Nicholas Panicci, Nolan Moralez, and Daven Moralez; and great-great-grandchild, Manuel Santiago Moralez.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Catherine Vander Veen; sister, Coralyn Velderman; brother, Albertus Vander Veen; and grandchildren, Steven Voss and Kelly Bos.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 20th from 1-4 at Yacht Basin Marina (upstairs, above Down the Hatch party store) 1866 Ottawa Beach Rd. Holland, MI.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
