HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Clerk’s Office is expecting voter turnout to be high and has tips for Election Day.
The polls open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, and will close at 8 p.m. Remember to bring a photo ID. Voters without an ID in their possession may still be issued a ballot and will have to sign an affidavit stating they do not have an ID.
The clerk’s office is reminding you in order to avoid peak times, lines are shorter from 9-11 a.m. and from 1-4 p.m. Make sure you check your polling location address ahead of time.
Michigan election law prohibits voters or anyone else in the precinct from displaying any campaign material, which includes the wearing of any clothing with candidate names, or political party logos. Please refrain from wearing such clothing in the precinct. Any campaign activity must occur at least 100 feet from any entrance to the polling place.
Be informed and view your sample ballot ahead of time. WHTC News will have complete local and national coverage throughout the day and evening.
