HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – If the Trump Administration calls, Pete Hoekstra will answer.
The former House Intelligence Committee chairman from Holland had backed John Kasich in the GOP Presidential Primary, but then switched to the Donald Trump campaign for the General Election, serving as a Michigan campaign co-chair. Responding to speculation that he may be ticketed for a spot in the new administration, Hoekstra said, “If they want me in a Trump Administration, they’ll give me a call, but if they think not, that’s OK. Life is good for (wife) Diane and me in the private sector and we’ll just continue what we’re doing.”
Hoekstra is currently a consultant on foreign affairs for a Washington firm and wrote a book last year critical of the Obama Administration’s handling of the Libyan crisis in 2012.
