GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC) – Authorities are working to identify the man whose body was pulled from the Grand River near Jenison on Thursday.
Captain Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the river near Riverview north of Baldwin in Georgetown Township around 1 p.m. A man walking his dog on a nature trail spotted what appeared to be a body in the water.
Authorities recovered the body. The only description that was immediately available was that it was that of a man who was about 6 feet tall.
The cause of death is unknown and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday in Grand Rapids.
