HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Wings of Mercy has a goal to raise $10,000 on this #GivingTuesday.
Wings of Mercy provides transportation to distant medical facilities for patients who cannot afford to fly. They have helped many in Ottawa County who are forever grateful to the organization. Serious or rare illnesses are not always treatable at local or even regional medical centers. Sometimes the best or only treatment can be hundreds of miles away.
Pilots Tim and Nick Talsma are setting Tuesday, November 29, aside to volunteer for Wings of Mercy. Since last October, the pilots have flown 8,455 miles, donated over 60 hours on their plane and helped 14 people in need. They are raising funds to cover the fuel for their flights in 2017.
Donate online to keep their flights free and to help more people access the healthcare they need.
