HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A racist rant filled with profanity posted on Instagram that purportedly came from a Holland business, has gone viral.
The message on Watercooled Industries Instagram account contains threats as well. The post was sent to a Dominic Lebron who lives in Holland. Lebron shared the post on Facebook and other social media sites and it has now gone viral. The post has since been taken down by Facebook and it is not available on Watercooled Industries Instagram account.
In the post, Holland resident and owner of Watercooled Industries, Chris Bosgraaf accuses Lebron of being involved with Bosgraaf’s girlfriend. It also contains threats and racial slurs. An apology from Watercooled Industries was issued via Instagram according to Lebron, but the companies Instagram account is no longer available.
WHTC has chosen not to publish the rant and calls into Watercooled Industries have gone unanswered as their voicemail is full. Watercooled Industries builds custom wheels for vehicles.
LeBron tells WHTC News that he wasn’t sure what to do when he first received the message and after talking it over with friends, he shared the post. “I felt people needed to know. I was not expecting it to get this much attention.”
“If you know me you know I work hard. I am always at work and I have worked hard for everything I have. I don’t know why he had to say that I could go pick cotton in his backyard. I would say that racism still exists as much as people try to hide from it or tell themselves that it’s not around. I face racism on a daily basis and I hope I can raise awareness and do something. My goal at first was to show people who he is, but if I can be in a position where my voice can be heard, I will take full advantage of it.”
Lebron is 24-year-old and has lived in Holland since he was five years old. He works as a server at a Holland area restaurant. Lebron wants the community to know that Bosgraaf’s girlfriend had nothing to do with this.
The rant although no longer on social media sites, has been copied and shared thousands of times and the story is now viral.
WHTC will update this story when more information becomes available and continue to reach Watercooled Industries in Holland for comment.
