12/4 Sunday: Santa’s Shoppe at Carolyn Stich Studio- Enjoy this favorite holiday tradition and visit Santa Claus in Downtown Holland at Carolyn Stich Studio! There is no charge for children to sit on Santa’s lap, but be sure to bring your own camera for photos. 206 College Ave, Holland; Noon-3 pm; Free.
12/5 Monday: Knickerbocker Theatre One Night Only Series: Philadelphia Story- Starring Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, and Katharine Hepburn. 86 East 8th Street, Holland; 7:30pm; $5 everyone.
12/6 Tuesday: A Marketplace of Local Makers at CityVu- Join CityVu for hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar as you browse handmade items and artwork from West Michigan makers, just in time for holiday shopping. Admission is $5; raffle ticket prices vary. Proceeds benefit the artists and the Cathy Geerlings Indomitable Spirit Scholarship, which recognizes the potential of hourly manufacturing workers in Holland/Zeeland with support for education. 61 East Seventh Street, Holland; 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 pm; $5:00.
12/7 Wednesday: Critter Barn Live Nativity- The Critter Barn loves to give children a hands-on experience to help them imagine the first Christmas. Each year they invite you to their Live Nativity to experience the telling of the story of Jesus Christ’s birth. You’ll enjoy photos of Israel where Christ lived, plus inspirational music, costumed characters, live animals in our barn, and more! They make Christmas of long ago come alive! 12/8 Thursday: A Charlie Brown Christmas at the Holland Civic Theatre- 1st time on stage in Michigan! Watch the classic Holiday show come to life as Charlie Brown learns the real meaning of Christmas. Complete with the whole Charlie Brown gang, the show is rounded out with the music by Vince Guaraldi including “Christmas Time is Here”. 50 West Ninth Street, Holland; 7pm; $10.00.
12/9 Friday: The Promise at Knickerbocker Theatre- The Promise, a holiday season tradition for 18 years in the Lakeshore area, weaves the Christmas story together using scripture and Christmas music with Classical and Contemporary Ballet. Performed by the Turning Pointe Ensemble, this year’s production features 75 dancers wearing 300 costumes. Come see what’s new!
