SPRING LAKE TWP., MI (WHTC) – A motorist unaware of the surroundings in the Tri-Cities area woke up this morning in a hospital bed as a result.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Buter, the yet-to-named motorist was driving his pickup eastbound on Wilson Road in Spring Lake Township just before 6 AM. “The driver didn’t realize that Wilson ended at US-31 and crashed through the road end and embankment. (His vehicle) came to rest against the guardrail which separates north and south US-31.”
The driver was taken to Hackley Hospital for treatment as the crash remains under investigation.
