HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 25-year-old Holland area man is recovering from a stabbing on Holland’s North Side yesterday afternoon while his assailant remains at large.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Buter and fellow deputies were called to the Lakeshore Medical Campus around 1:15 PM, about 45 minutes after the unnamed victim was assaulted while walking along Riley Street west of 136th Avenue. “The man advised that a unknown passenger car, occupied by three white males, pulled up next to him,” Buter said. “He indicated one of the males approached him, and upon reaching him, stabbed him once. The victim was taken to urgent care by a friend who had come upon him.”
The victim, whom Buter called “reluctant,” was taken to Holland Hospital and was initially listed in stable condition. No other description of the vehicle involved in the assault or of its three passengers was disclosed.
Anyone with any information on the matter is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
