HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Up to six more inches of snow are expected along the Lakeshore before the latest storm dies down early this evening. A Winter Weather Advisory for Allegan and Ottawa counties is in effect until 4 PM. About a foot of lake-effect snow has already fallen in the greater Holland area since a series of Arctic Clippers started coming across Lake Michigan over the past weekend. Cold wind chills and blowing snow are compounding problems. Holland, Holland Christian, West Ottawa, Hamilton, Saugatuck and Fennville led the list of area schools and district cancelling classes today, the first such “snow day” of 2015. No moderation in the weather is predicted until the weekend.
