HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Public Safety investigators believe that a fire that started in the garage of a West 31st Street residence between Van Raalte and Ottawa avenues yesterday morning was not suspicious in nature. It took about an hour to bring the flames under control, but not before the blaze spread to a kitchen, basement and second floor of the house. The unnamed residents inside escaped safely, while there were no reported injuries by firefighters from three departments who responded. An exact cause of the blaze wasn’t immediately determined.
