HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – New allegations have surfaced in last October’s deaths of a 59-year-old Holland Township man and his 31-year-old daughter.
The mother of Stacey Grotenhuis told WOOD-TV that, after a briefing with State Police detectives, she was told that Gary Volkers had watched what she called “murder/porn” the morning before his daughter was killed, and that he had nearly decapitated the victim. Volkers was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his vehicle parked along a rural road in Osceola County; Grotenhuis’ body was discovered in his Crystal Waters condo unit.
State Police won’t confirm what they told Karen Jarrell as they wait for results of DNA testing before confirming a cause of Grotenhuis’ death and the circumstances surrounding the incident. There is also a reported civil dispute between Jarrell and Volkers’ daughter from another relationship over his estate.
