Ella McKinley came off of the bench to score 15 points as the women took the opener, 94-44. Behind 22 points from Evan Thomas, the Orange and Blue captured the men’s nightcap, 84-70. The Flying Dutchmen face the Hornets in Kalamazoo on Monday night, with broadcast time at 7:10 PM on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van, while the Flying Dutch take on the Bulldogs in Adrian on Wednesday evening.
Spoils were shared at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale on Saturday afternoon between Grand Valley State and visiting Michigan Tech. Ellie Droste had 19 points and Rylie Bisballe added 17 with 11 rebounds as the Lakers won the women’s opener, 61-45. The Huskies prevailed in the men’s nightcap, 75-67, behind 20 points from Owen White. GVSU’s teams play the Davenport Panthers in Caledonia Township on Thursday night.
