ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – Grand Valley State’s Board has approved a 37 million-dollar construction project aimed at building a new residence hall and academic building on the main Allendale campus. The structure will accommodate 498 beds, along with three classrooms, a media room, three faculty offices, a retail space and a multi-purpose room. The Icie Macy Hoobler Living Center will be torn down and Robinson Field will be filled to make room for the building, which should open in August of 2016.
