GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The scheduled March 24th trial of Michael Roersma on murder charges has been pushed back four months to June 24th. The move was agreed to by both the prosecutor’s office and the defense attorney for the 50-year-old Coopersville man in order to consolidate all charges into one trial. Roersma is accused of killing his 71-year-old mother Sharon last September 29th and dumping her body in the Grand River. He is also charged with lying to detectives investigating the case.
