HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Hope College officials announced today that the Holland school is one of just 12 nationwide, and the only one in Michigan, to have landed a 2015 Beckman Scholars Program Award for student research. The 104 thousand-dollar grant from the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation will go towards to four students over the next three years that are studying in chemistry, biochemistry and the biological and medical sciences, with an emphasis on sustained, in-depth laboratory research with faculty members. The money provides stipends, related supplies and travel for the selected sophomores and juniors.
