HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The annual Kids Count report for Michigan was released early today, giving localized data on how this state is performing when it comes to the health and well-being of children. In overall well-being, Ottawa and Livingston counties were tied for first, followed by Clinton, Midland, and Oakland counties. Allegan County was 13th in the yearly survey by the Michigan League for Public Policy that some say is aimed, in part, to put public pressure on state lawmakers for more social funding.
