GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to several motoring incidents caused by snow-covered roads and near white-out conditions due to blowing powder. The worst of this was on southbound US-31 between Lake Michigan Drive and Pierce Street, in which there were three separate accidents involving nine vehicles, with three persons hospitalized for minor injuries, and 10 vehicles slid off of the roadway to avoid being collected up in those wrecks. Deputies say that 52 vehicles across the county had ended up in snow banks or ditches because of road conditions by 12 Noon.
