HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – Efforts to establish a regional watershed got a financial boost. The West Michigan Prosperity Alliance awarded an 89 thousand-dollar grant to the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council for establishing a West Michigan Regional Watershed Collaborative. MACC Executive Director Steve Bulthuis and his colleagues will have about 18 months to develop a plan and a program to generate sustainable financial resources for protecting the water quality of Lake Michigan. With private donations of 15 thousand dollars, the total amount of seed money is 104 grand.
