HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 63-year-old Holland woman died on Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side.
According to Sheriff’s Deputies, Karolyn Rich was driving her car eastbound on James Street just before 10 AM when she apparently went through a red light at US-31 and was broadsided by the southbound pickup of 40-year-old Brent Groenewoud, also of Holland. The collision caused the gtruck to roll over. Rich, who wasn’t buckled up, and Groenewoud, who was, both went to Holland Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries; he was initially listed in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
