Arrest Made in Craig’s List-Related Baseball Bat-Beating on Holland’s North Side

HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – An arrest has been made in the March 2^nd baseball bat beating of a Holland Township man during an apparent drug deal made through Craig’s List. Sheriff’s deputies apprehended without incident 17-year-old Valdemar Beltran III, who was staying with his girlfriend at her home near Waverly Meadows, about three miles away from the victim’s house off of 136^th Avenue and Greenly Street. Beltran was arraigned on Friday and is reportedly cooperating with investigators while a second suspect (early 20’s, Hispanic, 5-0, 115 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes) remains at large.
