TALLMADGE TWP, MI (WHTC) – 21-year-old Tammy Vickers-Desota of Grand Rapids, was struck by a vehicle while riding her bike through the mobile park Tallmadge Meadows yesterday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sgt. Matt Wildfong, Vickers-Desota was struck by a car driven by 21-year-old Cameron Tuinstra, of Grand Rapids. Tuinstra was rounding the corner when she rode out in front of him. His vehicle was unable to avoid hitting her.
Vickers-Desota was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Tuinstra was not injured.
