Central Ave. Reconstruction Project in Holland Underway

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Work on rebuilding Central Avenue in Holland begins today with the closure of the road to through traffic between its northern origin at 3^rd Street to 6^th Street. This is to accommodate the placing of new sewer lines underneath the CSX rail spur tracks that go to both the Padnos and the Heinz plants. When completed in mid-October, the roadway through State Street will be rebuilt and new sidewalk cutouts will be made, with snowmelt expansion planned between 7^th and 12^th Streets.
