FERRYSBURG, MI (WHTC) – Two women were injured in a Ferrysburg subdivision when a car backed up and hit them as they walked.
According to Ottawa County sheriff’s authorities, Margaret O’Haire, 88, and Valerie Gillard, 72, were walking with the assistance of walkers when a car backed out of a private drive and struck the women. Both women fell to the ground and are in stable condition after requiring treatment at North Ottawa Community Hospital.
The driver Roger Jonas, 73, of Ferrysburg told deputies he did not see the women. Jonas was not injured.
