GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – Sentencing is on May 4th for a 39-year-old Grand Haven man who pled guilty to attempted felonious assault charges stemming from a February 27th incident. Public Safety officers claim that Samuel Moya Junior was threatening his girlfriend with a sword and refused to leave the Elliott Street home for about a half hour until convinced to do so by negotiators. The woman and two children were able to escape the house unharmed. Moya could get up to five years in prison in the plea deal.
