GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Sentencing is pending for a 21-year-old Muskegon Heights man who took a plea deal with federal prosecutors stemming from a burglary of a Robinson Township gun dealer. Xavier McCarty admitted to be a felon with a firearm in exchange for having a theft charge dropped. Sheriff’s Deputies say that he allegedly broke into Felix’ Marina and Gun off of Green Street last October 14th and ran out of his shoes while attempting to flee the scene. McCarty could face up to 10 years in prison.
