GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids has issued an elevated fire danger risk for the entire WHTC listening area for this afternoon. Relatively dry ground, along with mild temperatures and breezy conditions, have led to the increased likelihood of grass and wild fires. The state DNR has posted a low fire danger risk for areas immediately along the Lakeshore, while moderate conditions are to the east of Holland. Showers are predicted to arrive by late this evening and linger through much of tomorrow.
