HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Ahead of tomorrow’s deadline for August 4th Primary candidate filing, at large Holland City Councilman Wayne Klomparens announced on Monday that he will be seeking a second four-year term. Jay Peters in the Second Ward and Dave Hoekstra in the Sixth are also running for reelection, while the Fourth Ward’s Bob VandeVusse is vacating his seat in running for Mayor, as Kurt Dykstra is stepping down from that spot, with nobody yet filing to fill that position. The other at-large councilwoman, Nancy DeBoer, has also filed to run for mayor, according to the Holland City Clerk’s office.
