ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – During tonight’s Zeeland City Council meeting, the formal setting of a May 4th public hearing ahead of a final vote on the Fiscal 2016 municipal budget will be done. City Manager Tim Klunder says that the spending plan will include a 35 hundredths increase in the operating millage rate, but with the debt on the Howard Miller Library and Community Center now repaid, the current 11.2-mill tax levy on property owners in Zeeland in this year’s budget won’t change.
