LANSING, MI (WHTC) – In monthly regional numbers released by the state Department of Technology, Management and Budget, unemployment in Ottawa County fell in March one tenth of one percent to 3.6 percent, the second lowest in Michigan, while Allegan County’s 4.5 percent is sixth best and is two tenths below February’s level. A year ago, those marks stood at 6.0 and 6.9 percent, respectively. Statewide, nine of the 17 labor markets in Michigan had slight declines in joblessness last month.
