HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tulip Time 2015 has announced the 3rd annual King’s Day Criterium for this Sunday, April 26. King’s Day Criterium is a fast-paced, closed circuit bike race through the streets of downtown Holland. The races begin and end on East Eighth Street in front of the Knickerbocker Theatre. Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on novice to pro cyclists along the route to celebrate the birthday of King Wilhelm-Alexander of the Netherlands. Racing kicks off at 11:30 AM with the Junior Racers. There will also be a free bicycle race with prizes for kids ages 3-10 at 4:55 pm. The last race is the Men’s pro Category at 5:30 pm and will last approximately 90 minutes. The races are sponsored by New Holland Brewing, where there will be an after party after the last race for everyone to enjoy.
