LAS VEGAS, NV (WHTC) – Govenor Snyder says right now, he is “just watching” the presidential race take shape. He was asked about a report in “The Guardian” citing former U.S. Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota as saying Snyder told him in Las Vegas that he was running for President.
Coleman told reporters over the weekend that he met with the governor Friday at the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas and confirmed the rumors.
“The Guardian” reports the RJC board member Ari Fleischer said Snyder did not say he was seeking the Rebublican nomination, but made “strong presentation about his results and successes in Michigan.”
Fleisher was the spokesman for then-President George W. Bush.
The governor who was in Washington for the Whitehouse Correspondents dinner, has called the report “a lot of speculation.”
