SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) – South Christian High School’s prom is at Saugatuck’s Laketown Golf and Conference Center this evening, and the senior Sailors will be honoring Rod Van Dyke. The beloved teacher and golf coach died last October when he was struck by a vehicle on 36th Avenue while pedaling to the school from his Hudsonville-area home. The theme of “Living the Dream” comes from one of the 54-year-old’s favorite sayings, and attendees will be wearing wacky socks in tribute to Van Dyke.
