HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 3, 2022) – Another tradition of the Tulip Time Festival will continue in 2022.
Holland’s annual signature event announced on Thursday that the annual Tulip Time Quilt Show is now open to entrants. Over 100 handmade, high-quality quilts are expected to be on display through the duration of the 93rd annual event – May 7 through May 15 – at Beechwood Church on Holland’s North Side.
While the event remains, the venue has changed from the Holland Area Arts Council building downtown to a larger facility with better access for artists and visitors. It will share the spotlight there with the Tulip Time Artisan Market, featuring food vendors and Dutch Dance performers, and with the new Tulip Immersion Garden.
All submitted quilts, which must have been completed in the past decade, will be eligible for the viewer’s choice awards as determined by patrons during the display period, with the winner announced on May 14th. There will also be a quilt raffle, with a mystery creation to be disclosed in April and be on display at the Apothecary Gift Shop on the corner of River Avenue and West 8th Street downtown. Raffle tickets will be sold at the Tulip Time office less than a block away on West 8th Street, the Gift Shop and at the Quilt Show in Beechwood Church.
Full details on submissions to the Tulip Time Quilt Show can be found here.
