GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Ancient Egypt will come alive in West Michigan today as the Grand Rapids Public Museum opens a King Tut exhibit, complete with replicas of ancient Egyptian artifacts. “The Discovery of King Tut” exhibit starts off with a video depicting how famed archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the real tomb in 1922. Visitors are then guided through an audio tour of the artifacts on display. The exhibition opened in Europe, with Grand Raids being the third city to host in the United States. The Grand Rapids Public Museum will be showing the exhibit through January of 2016.
