5/18 Monday: “Brushes & Brews” Paint Class at Hops- Paint class led by local award winning artist Carolyn Stich. 84 East Eighth Street Holland, 7 pm, $24.
5/19 Tuesday: Bump Day Expo Event For Moms at Engedi Church- A fun, educational, and relaxing expo-style event for planning-to-be, expecting and new mothers! Raffles, vendor booths, educational speakers, and more. 710 Chicago Drive Holland, 5-7 pm, Free.
5/20 Wednesday: 1 Hour Demonstration Cooking Class at Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars- Join Chef Andy as he shows you great ways to use Fustini’s in delicious meals with at Mexican flair! This class is an Amuse Bouche, Shrimp Adobo with Arugula, Mango and Chipotle Tangerine Vinaigrette, Selection of Salsas and Coconut Cheesecake. 24 East Eighth Street Holland, 12pm-1 pm, $25 per person, includes $5 store credit to purchase products.
5/21 Thursday: “The Other Man” at the Knickerbocker Theatre- A documentary about F.W. de Klerk, the last president of apartheid South Africa and his relationship with Nelson Mandela. 86 East 8th Street Holland, 7:30 pm, $7 Adults; $6 Seniors; Hope students with ID FREE (runs thru Saturday).
5/22 Friday: Nature School at the Outdoor Discovery Center- The purpose of each stand-alone “Nature School” class is to introduce the wonders of the natural world to young children. Crafts, activities, games, books, songs, live animals, and outside exploration will be incorporated into their nature-based learning experience. This week’s theme is Habitats. Parents are encouraged to attend with their 4 to 7 year old – though not required. Parents or guardians are asked to attend with their 3 year old to help with bathroom use and transitioning into a group learning environment. 5678 143rd Avenue Holland, Morning class 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Afternoon class 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, $10 per child or $5 per child for members (per class).
5/23 Saturday: Glow Bowling at BAM! Entertainment Center- BAM! turns the bowling lanes into a high-tech night club featuring: Gigantic Video Screen with your favorite bands playing music, Black lights, Fog, Laser lights, Disco Balls. 478 East 16th Street Holland, 9pm- 2am, $5.00 per game or $30 per lane per hour and $2.50 for use of rental shoes.
5/24 Sunday: Main Street Dueling Pianos at New Holland Brewing Company- This fearless musical team performs an all-request show with a healthy dose of interactive comedy thrown in to entertain any audience! The entertainers have an impressive repertoire of 1,000+ songs and can cater to virtually any age group.
