Donaldson Ruled Competent to Stand Trial for Murder

GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The murder trial of now 17-year-old Victor Donaldson of Holland can move forward after a forensic evaluation requested by his defense attorney proved that he is competent to face a jury. He is accused of stabbing Ja’Paris Rodgers of the Chicagoland area to death in an altercation among two groups of teens along Riley Street on Holland’s North Side last August 19^th. Donaldson may also face assault charges stemming from an attack of an Ottawa County Jail guard late last year.
