IONIA, MI (WHTC) – Reports of chickenpox cases continue to rise in Michigan.
Health officials are uring people to get vaccinated after Ionia County diagnosed 13 cases recently. Last month about a half-dozen students fell ill at the same school.
Some serious complication of the virus can damage the liver, kidneys and even cause death.
The most recent case was reported in Ionia County last week. There are no reported cases in Ottawa or Allegan county.
