CROCKERY TWP,MI (WHTC) – A two vehicle personal injury crash in Crockery Township has sent a Spring Lake woman to the hospital.
Ottawa County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Cleveland and 120th Avenue yesterday evening when Jerry Henning, 69, of Spring Lake was eastbound on Cleveland street pulling an empty utility trailer and attempted to pull into a private drive on the north side of Cleveland street.
According to Sgt. J. Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Jenni Sherhard, 29, of Grand Haven was heading westbound on Cleveland Street when Henning turned directly into her path causing a near head-on-collision.
Both were treated by bystanders till first responders arrived on scene and Shephard was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital while Henning was treated on the scene and sought his own medical help.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and Henning was cited for failure to yield to a right of way.
