ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – A Coopersville teenager was involved in a dangerous go-kart crash that put him in the hospital Saturday afternoon. 14-year-old Hunter Shrauger was driving an eight horsepower go-kart in the parking lot of Allendale High School when he made a too tight of a turn and lost control of the vehicle, according to a Holland Sentinel report.
The go-kart flipped onto its side and caught on fire. Shrauger was transported to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids by Life EMS and is listed in serious condition with heavy burns. Shrauger was wearing a seatbelt and helmet at the time of the crash.
