Man Dies In Head-On Crash Near Hopkins

HOPKINS (WHTC) – An Allegan County man is dead after his SUV slammed head-on into a tanker truck Thursday near Hopkins. Michigan State Police at the Wayland post say the victim, whose name has not been released, was driving westbound on 134^th Avenue near 26^th Street when he apparently crossed the center line and slammed into the tanker just before 8 a.m. The tanker truck was empty, and its driver was not hurt. An investigation is underway.
