GRAND RAPIDS (WHTC) – Sentencing for an Indiana bank robber originally set for Thursday has been rescheduled. Brian Standiford, who pleaded guilty to robbing a Chemical Bank in Kalamazoo County’s Oshtemo Township on January 5, had his sentencing postponed to July 23 in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids.Standiford was arrested on January 13th in Portage, where police officers forced his car to a stop on I-94 while attempting to flee his third robbery. Standiford’s plea was a part of a bargain that dropped two other charges of bank robbery, including one that occurred in South Haven, in exchange for admitting to the Oshtemo robbery.
