POLKTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) – A car crash in Polkton Township last night left both drivers injured and one man pinned inside his vehicle. 28-year-old Ernest Hamstra of Allendale was driving southbound on 68th Avenue near the Leonard Road intersection when he veered over the center line of the road and crashed head-on into northbound Timothy Becker, a 50-year-old resident of Muskegon. Hamstra was not wearing a seatbelt and was pinned in his vehicle after the crash, but was extradited by Coopersville Fire and Rescue. He was transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and is listed in stable condition. Becker had only minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. The crash remains under investigation by police.
