ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – The third annual Zeeland twilight Criterium takes place this Friday in downtown Zeeland.
A Criterium is a one day bicycle race and the most common form of American racing. The course which usually spans up to a mile in length, is repeated by the cyclists until anywhere from 25 to 60 miles is covered.
Abby DeRoo Marketing Director of the City of Zeeland says this race is unique because it is held in the evening when most races are days races. Restaurants and shops will stay open for the race.
The event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a free kids race. Both the start and finish of the race is held in front of Mainstreet Bicycle Company.
